Volivoli Beach is the water sports hub for the North of Viti Levu, and the deepwater bay means that watersports are possible at high or low tide, unlike many other resorts in Fiji.
We offer a range of exciting watersports, including world-class diving with incredible marine life and fascinating shipwrecks to explore. For those who'd prefer to stay dry there are plenty of other things to do.
Kayaking
Get your heart racing or simply float around...Volivoli Beach has a great selecton of good good quality sea kayaks which are free for our guests to use.
The water here is so clear you'll be able to watch brightly coloured tropical fish and bright blue starfish as you paddle around.
It's up to you how much you want to do in your kayak. You could pack a picnic and spend the whole day afloat. Or you might prefer a more adventurous kayak around the bay to explore the hidden coves and mangrove forests. Or you can simply float around listening to the gentle splash of your paddles.
Snorkelling
Boasting some of the best snorkelling in Fiji, the waters around Volivoli Beach are full of colourful soft coral and marine life.
What's more, you can snorkel at any time of day, as the deep water bay means low tide isn't a problem.
Our staff can give you a quick lesson if you've never snorkelled before, and snorkels, masks and fins are available for hire from our Dive Hut.
Our snorkelling trips to the outer reef are highly recommended. You'll travel by boat in a small group, accompanied by an experienced instructor who will show you the different coral and fish species.
Snorkelling trips to the outer reef
$50 per person including equipment hire
Or if you'd prefer to be more independent, simply hire your gear from the dive hut and you can snorkel right off the sand spit.
Beach Voli-ball
It’s time to work up a sweat!
By the end of a hard day's sunbathing you might have worked up just enough energy to take part in a social game of beach ‘voli-ball’ (volleyball). A game takes place at five o'clock each day, and usually ends rather reluctantly at sunset.
You don’t need to be an expert to join in, but you do need to be willing to get a bit sandy!
The beach bar stays open until dark, just perfect for some cold refreshments after an energetic game.
